Congratulations to our colleagues at Tribe Impact Capital, who have declared a “Climate Emergency” as they deliver their first climate “Impact Report” as part of their annual business report.
Last April Tribe cosigned a statement in The (UK) Times supporting the Extinction Rebellion agenda to address the climate change crisis.
This month they assessed their “carbon equivalent footstep” in addition to their financial performance. Despite some methodological limitations, which staff plan to remedy by further studying ways to assess and report, Tribe assessed its footprint to be aligned with the Paris Climate Accord at a “1.5 degree scenario.” That’s a nice, low number, and Tribe is aiming for zero across “Scope 1, 2 and 3” of the Accord by 2015.
